Choir

St John's Choir is affiliated to the Royal School of Church Music, and sings for the 9.30 am Sunday Parish Communion, for occasional Evensongs and on special occasions. We practise most Thursday evenings from 7.30 pm till about 9 pm. We are keen to recruit new members in any part (Sopranos, Altos, Tenors and Basses) and both adults and children. More details from Tina Allen, the Choir Secretary. The organist and choirmaster is Ian Shaw FLCM.

Gospel Choir

St John's Gospel Choir made its debut in September 1998 and sings during the 9.30 am Parish Communion about once a month, as well as on special occasions. Rehearsals are usually on Monday evenings at 7 pm. Details from Doris Duesbury.

Mothers' Union

MU logoThe Mothers' Union meets for its Corporate Communion at the 10.30 am service on the first Wednesday of each month, preceded by prayers at 10 am; the afternoon meetings are at 2 pm on the third Tuesday of each month (Branch Leader: Mary Patrick). Parent and Toddler Group

St John's Parent and Toddler Group (formerly "Greenhill Giants") is for accompanied children under the age of 3. They meet in the Victoria Hall on Wednesdays and Fridays, 9.30-11 am in term time only. There is a fee of £2 a session. Contact Manjit on (020) 8428 5646 or Mobile 07733 727345.

Sunday School

The Sunday School (for 3 to 7 year olds) meets in Church at the beginning of the 9.30 am Parish Communion and moves to the Victoria Hall next door during the first hymn. Contact Pat Roney.

Victoria Hall

The Victoria Hall, next to the Church in Sheepcote Road (opposite Halfords) is a public hall rather than a church hall, but we do use it for some of our activities, and the Church is represented on the Trustees of the Hall. It has its own website www.victoria-hall.org.

Young Learners

Young Learners (aged 8 to 16) meet in the Vestry during part of the 9.30 am Parish Communion most weeks. Details: Nest Gifford or Tricia Haly.
